Stippling Process
It all starts with a sketch
Before I can begin working on the actual finished piece I have to create a sketch which I will then have to transfer large-scale on to the prepared canvas.
Block out Darkest Areas
To help be get a better gage on the shading for the overall piece I will block out the darkest areas with black ink.
Dot Dot Dot Dot…
Time for the long haul… I begin the stippling process and putting down each dot one by one.
Varnish & Finish
Depending on the size, these pieces can take anywhere from a few weeks to a year to complete.
